Things Only You Can Do
The progression goes like this:
See someone do something awesome.
You like awesome and also want to do it.
They've been doing it for a while.... a long while... and you have not.
Emulation is a way to learn so you emulate.
Somewhere along the way, you learn new things, and some of those things are things only you can do. Because you are in grit your teeth and so focused on one thing you miss or dismiss those unique to you things.
Don't. Find those things that only you do and do them. While everyone is crossfitting, you carry sandbags. While everyone is preaching UV finishes you show people the beauty and experience of rub on finishes.
