#1000 and The Scavenger Hunt

#1000 and The Scavenger Hunt
1000 connections, 1000 hands locked in grateful cooperative labor.
We've now made 1000 resonators, 400 Mavis, and 400 mulecasters. How many songs is that? How many stories and connections is that?   In 2009 I had almost nothing - no job, no skills, no plan. And now I have you.
My greatest joy in life is seeing people use these instruments to play music and creating meaningful relationships between people through them. If you know me you know I have a big gushy heart. Get me going on something and be ready to GO. The thankfulness I feel for you comes from the bottom of that heart. It's not mild. It's not polite. You gave me the opportunity to show the drop out kid sleeping next to his bandsaw during a Minnesota winter almost 20 years ago that it's gonna work out. And it's gonna be awesome.
To commemorate the occasion of making 1,000 resonators we made a trio. A bronze tricone, a brazilian rosewood topped Mavis and a brass body Mulecaster.   The engraving was done by the brilliant Richard Legg of Indra Guitars.  The new certificate was created by Jack Baumgartner, who has done each of our three certificates and the interior label in the guitars.  Jack and I have worked together since the beginning and have always had a deep connection that's tough to explain but reveals itself in the art he makes for us.
THE TWIST.  As a thank you to you all I would like to play a game.   Jack created the PegaMule Icon at the end of the slides here from cutoffs of the guitars.  This summer I will hide the Icon somewhere in the world.   I'll give out clues over time as to its location and if you find the icon and return it to Mule HQ to live out its days... the trio of guitars is yours.  All three. Yours.   The Great Mule Scavenger Hunt. LET'S GO.
