I’ve talked about how your truss rod is not an action adjuster. It’s really, really not. 

Here’s how the action is set and adjusted on resonators. It’s best done by a shop because of the special files involved but it’s a 30 minute job and will get you a set up that’s what you want. Not what you don’t want- which is what you’ll get if you use your truss rod.
