I was stuck in a revolving door of gear . My music was in a rut. I tried different pick ups, different Rosewoods, different pics, different strings. I noticed a change in my tone, but not a change in my playing.

Then I heard a musician, kjp, play a metal body resonator. The sound was completely different in every possible way. And so was his playing.

I made it my life’s work to connect people through these music tools without ever having cut a piece of metal or holding a resonator guitar.

Historically you could only play resonators with a slide- they had big necks and high action. So I made mine with a standard acoustic neck size, shaped like your hand, and a normal acoustic guitar set up.

Now you could play whatever musical choices this dramatically different instrument inspired. And with a slide that fits and practice you could still play slide guitar.

The change you’re trying to make is too small because the changes you’re making arent different enough.
