string gauge and action, advice

Hey all, new mule owner here. :-) I really like picking on the guitar but i'm struggling not to fret out on the first 4 frets for the high E string when using slide. I've heard its so light a touch, it should be like a tap harmonic which sounds like it should be super light. I've picked up a couple of different slides (glass vs brass) so getting more practice in with those. Any advice, exercises would be much appreciated?

Anyways, my question was what gauge strings are on the guitar from new? And if i go up a gauge, is there any issue with that (i'm hoping it'll increase the tension some). I saw a video where Matt said they're set up for picking and slide. I'm not looking to raise the action, just add a little more tension. Or just persevere, but i want to put on new strings anyways.

THanks

Thanks James, I’ll give them a go

These strings do the job for me. I think these gauges are great for the tunings I normally use ( Eb , open D, open G). Fretting out has not been an issue.
