I think you're looking at a brass bodied guitar. 

Here's a photo from the resonator page that looks like it's a steel body with a relic gold paint job.

All the other paint options have a relic finish, so I'm thinking that gold paint would be no exception.

It's my understanding that there's a subtle tone difference between steel and brass bodies, but I haven't heard anything about paint affecting tone on either material.

I've seen photo's of raw brass bodied guitar that had tarnish wherever it was not touched/polished over time.

I would imagine that the appearance of gold paint (on steel), would probably not be affected.

Does a coat of a paint affect the tone?
