        Hey Matt, I’m on the wait list for a resonator. I’m wondering if you could compare the sound of a resonator to a Mavis. I’m assuming that the resonator has more body resonance - much like the comparison of an acoustic to an electric. With that said, the Mavis has the same resonator on board, so maybe they are actually closer. Many thanks!

          Hey Robert! You're exactly right.  People definitely play teh Mavis unplugged when recording on such for a really different sound, but teh steel reso is a fuller sound because of the bigger body and steel. THey are very different animals acoustically. Plugged in you can tell they are both resonators but again, the resos are much fuller sounding than the Mavis.
