Slot headstocks

Slot headstocks
Slot headstocks are classy, and "period correct" for resonators.   All Mule headstocks are slot headstocks. If' you've never had one, never fear. There's rumors of having to tie off strings like you're tying your shoe - that's not true.  Here's how you restring your slot headstock.
  1.  Pull the string all the way through the post. Use three fingers to measure off the amount of slack you need.
  2. Push the string back through the post to the three finger mark and kink the string.
  3. Cut extra and tune to pitch.
Easy peasy.   Did I mention we have our own tuners made?  Pretty simple and classy, countersunk mounting screw holes, with a patina to match.    -Matt
